I’m having issues viewing forced subtitles through my NVIDIA Shield. When I go into PLEX settings under “burn subtitles” I have it set to automatic, but no subtitles are showing. When I change the “burn subtitles” setting to “always” the movie begins to buffer for an extended period of time, only to play for 3 seconds before buffering again.
I noticed that the CPU is shooting up form 3% to 60% when I change the “burn subtitles” setting to “always” instead of “automatic”.
I don’t believe this is an issue with my NAS, because I don’t have the same issue with my apple tv 4K (which is a whole different issue with audio sync problems).
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, has a solution been discovered?
