NVidia Shield Pro EAC3 audio only DD 2.0

Hi!

I’m using Nvidia Shield Pro with latest update and Plex aswell. I only have an old AV that supports DD5.1 and DTS5.1 via Optical (TOSLINK). For this I use a HDMI audio extractor (4K60 4:4:4 Dolby Vision) to extract the audio to my AV. I manually selected the supported audio formats and unchecked DD+, TrueHD and so on to only support DD5.1 and DTS. I also checked the “Dolby audio processing” feature. Everything works fine, except movies with EAC3 audio. My AV switches to Dolby Digital but only 2.0. It also isn’t a upmix or so because I don’t hear voices. The other channels are missing.

Is this a bug in Plex or Shield?

You might try setting going in to the shield advance audio settings and manually enable only the supported formats instead of being automatic which is default.

As i wrote I did that. Today I figured out that if I try and try again to start a movie, after a while I get 5.1 instead of 2.0. So this must be a Plex bug.
