NVIDIA Shield Pro | Plex Client | Passthrough problems DD+/ATMOS (NAS Stream)

Hi all,

I’ ve a problem with the Plex (client) on the NVIDIA Shield pro and the sound format DD+/ATMOS. I’ve been searching the forum for a while but unfortunately couldn’t find a solution.

I digitized some of my titles as M2TS to my QNAP NAS. The Plex server is running on the NAS and there are no problems at all with the streams. Except for PGS subtitles, but that is a known problem.

But I’ve problems with titles like The Great Wall and Mummy (2017) with a German DD+/AMTOS track. Only DD+ without ATMOS will be passed through to the AVR (Yamaha CX-A5200). DTHD/ATMOS is no problem. Passthrough is enabled via HDMI.

The DD+/ATMOS track is played correctly via VLC, for example. Thus, there is apparently no problem with the Shield.

Have the Plex Client on the Shield problems with teh sound format or what can I do that the sound format is passed through correctly? Does anyone have similar problems?
