New potential user here of PLEX.
Quick and simple: Can PLEX on Shield TV run smoothy and reliably 4K HDR BluRay rips from my Synology NAS? I don’t want servers, transcoding, pure and simple: NAS as the source, nVidia/PLEX as a player. Will it work amazingly well and perfect

it works, make sure it is wired though. I’m running a 1515+ Synology with a Shield 2017.
It works perfectly for me with my DS718+, but like Felipe said, it should be wired. I have my NAS and Shield connected to my router via Ethernet. I also use MP4 for my container (H.265 codec)… I believe mkv works well, too, but no personal experience.
