I am trying to get my Nvidia Shield TV to direct play my movies but they keep transcoding. I know for a fact that the Shield TV can handle my files as I would stream them on Kodi before I moved to plex.
I am only using the Shield TV as a steaming device and not a plex server I have an dedicated plex server.
The only way all my videos would play directly was for me to to set Direct play to FORCED and Direct stream to on with pass through enabled. Those options have been taken away with the latest plex updates, i had to remove the updates for my setup to keep working properly, really hoping those options are added back in soon!
