Player Version#: Unsure, latest android client on Nvidia Shield.
Basically I’ll be watching a show, it will be working fine then at random it will skip 30seconds-2mins forward. Nobody presses any buttons or anything and the video gets corrupted when it happens. Like it misses some of the I-frames and just jumps into a nest of B/P frames and then hits the next I-frame.
If you rewind, you can watch that section without issue. Doesn’t happen on the Web app, LG tv, Linux PMP app, or on my Samsung Z3 Fold. It only started happening on the Shield. And only about 3-4 months ago. I stopped using the Shield for a while due to other reasons. But now I’m using it again and its an issue.
Some people said it might be related to Audio format. They specifically called out EAC3 which apparently all my videos are in. I really don’t want to transcode them as I do have a surround sound receiver on my TV so I kinda want them in EAC3
