I’ve been trying to chase down an issue I’ve had across many different TV Shows. The issue seems to happen at random times and to varying degrees, but is never repeatable. One common thing I have found was that each time this has happened, the video would direct play and the EAC3 audio would be transcoded to AAC, which is fine and expected.
While watching a show, the video may suddenly start to become very pixelated with portions of the previous frame’s content lagging over the new frames into a jumbled mess until the play back suddenly jumps forward in time. The jump forward ranges from seconds to minutes of time. I’ve watched for an ERROR or WARN to pop up in the logs but I haven’t had any clear indication.
Hoping someone smarter than me can see what is going on so I’ve attached a recent copy of my logs. To help narrow down when this happened last, I very quickly exited the video to stop playback at timestamp May 27, 2020 19:37:18.970.
