I’ve noticed when I watch a show while recording, and then next show on same channel starts recording, sometimes both shows are combined into one recording. It’s as if Plex doesn’t know that there should be two separate files recorded for each separate show.
To make matters worse, I cannot watch second recorded show while it is recording after what I have described in my previous paragraph - client pukes and gives error saying to restart server.
First problem:
This morning, NVIDIA Shield TV 2017 16GB version recording two programs back to back with HDHomeRun Extend on same channel - Plex was smart enough to break into two recorded files, however second recording begins in the middle of the first recording.
Second problem:
When I try to fast forward the second recording on the NVIDIA Shield TV to get to the beginning of the second program, I get an error: “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry.” Note the error above is happening when fast forwarding while the second program is recording on the Plex client on Shield TV only. Fast forward after the program has completed does not result in this error.
So two different errors going on here making it impossible to watch the second program while it is recording on NVIDIA Shield TV 2017 16GB version.
