I’m using the odroid for a couple off months now without issues running 1.6.2 using my harmony remote with an RC6 profile.
However after updating this no longer works. The “lircd.conf” and “Lircmap.xml” are it place but they no longer seem to have effect. When I remove them I can use the original Odroid remote but this has only very limited functionality.
I reflashed 1.6.2 and everything works again. Is this no longer supported?
The first time going to 1.7.1 I copied the extracted image to the update folder and reboot. This triggered the update but had lotst of issue with multiple reboots and resolution issues. So that didn’t go very well and flashed completly fresh.
I solved the issue by learning the remote again with irrecord. While doing this I noticed that the keycodes remained the same but the odroid sees a different header somehow since 1.7.1
Something must have changed for the odroid only because my RPI2 running Rasplex 1.7.1 has no issues.
Both devices use identical harmany touch remote’s with the same Philips RC6 profile that came with my remotepi.
OpenPHT-Embedded 1.7.1 for Odroid C2 and WeTek Hub uses an updated IR-driver that reports a more correct duration for pulses and spaces (https://github.com/LibreELEC/linux-amlogic/pull/2).
This change may result in some custom lircd.conf not working properly when upgrading from an earlier C2 build.
