I’m struggling with something and hoping to get some help on the forums here since I don’t see any way to contact Plex directly. I have Plex Pass (lifetime) and have a friend who has shared some libraries with me on his server. I’m able to stream the movies just fine, but when I try to sync the content for offline viewing it gets hung up at 51% complete. Based on the setting I can see when I have shared my libraries with others I should be able to sync content to my device from my friends shared libraries. Is this correct? If so, how can I fix my issue? Thanks!
Not correct. The server that holds the media must have a Plex Pass. Since you have a Plex Pass, you can allow others to sync from your server. If your friend does not have a Plex Pass, you will not be able to initiate a Sync from his server.
However, you say that it gets to 51%, which means that your friend must have a Plex Pass otherwise you wouldn’t even get that far. We would need to see the logs from your friend’s server to see why it stops.
