Offline sync says its failing but synchronised content still plays

Server Version#: 1.18.6.2368
Player Version#: 3.2.20-259990c775![01. During
I’ve shared content with my child’s account which they use to sync content to their Windows 10 tablet. Its been working relatively well for a few years but has just started to display errors in the sync screen for any new items which are added for synchronisation.

The errors are shown at the start, during and after sync but leaving the screen and returning to it shows 100% success and all items ‘sync complete’. Run another sync and anything set to sync in the last few weeks shows errors again (lots of screenshots attached).

The synchronised content with errors can be played.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Rob

If this is the Plex app from the Windows App Store, it has been deprecated for some time and is no longer supported.

The new Plex app for Windows can be downloaded from https://plex.tv/downloads

Nothing is supported by Plex in that there’s no way to raise a support case regardless of software versions so I’m hoping that someone will be able to help me on this forum instead.
Plex may have deprecated this version but they haven’t released anything more recent for 32bit Windows 10. I don’t want to replace two fully working tablets (fully working except for this recent Plex problem on only one of two identical tablets) so I’m trying to fix the problem.
Can anyone advise on the problem I’m seeing?
Thanks
Rob

Based on the version number you posted I’m assuming that you’ve got the windows App store at version. There is a newer version available from the downloads page that I linked to above.

I don’t have the app you’re running so I’m afraid I can’t help any further.

You could install the new app separately without deleting your old app and see if it works any better.

Hi, yes, I’m running the App store version because Plex haven’t released anything more recent for 32bit Windows 10?
The link you provided doesn’t work. If I delete most of the URL and leave just https://plex.tv/downloads I get to a page with only a 64bit version which won’t run on 32 bit Windows.

Ah, You’re right. Plex doesn’t support 32 Bit clients anymore.
