I think that Plex’s generation of movie thumbnails (the ones for the seek bar) is very slow, so I was planning on making a Desktop version that can do it.
However, I’ll need to know where I need to put them, and how to tell the database that there are thumbnails available. I have found some thumbnails in Plex Media Server/PhotoTranscoder/xx/xxyyyyyy.jpg files but how do these “link back” to the movie?
Also, these thumbnails seem to be 176x99 (from a 4K source). Is this always the size used for these kinds of thumbnails?
