Server Version#: 1.19.5
Player Version#: 4.34.3
Tuner Make/Model: Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD
Guide/Lineup name: Omaha OTA Broadcast
Using XMLTV?: no
Channel number/Name: 6.3 H&I / AntennaTV
Omaha OTA MacGyver on H&I listed as 2016. It should be 1980’s (1985?). Obviously makes all the matching incorrect.
The DVR thinks the 1985 show on channel 6.3 and the 2016 show on channel 3.1 are the same because it scheduled recording for the 2016 even though I selected the 1985 to configure the recording.
If the EPG is correct then this must be a DVR issue. I renamed the directory and files from 2016 to 1985. I removed the actual 2016 episode. I re-created the DVR recording and specified only channel 6.3 H&I. The 2016 series does not run on channel 6.3. Today this is the result:
Were there any previous episodes in this library that were tvdb matched for this show?
If this is happening with a fresh library then I would like to see the Plex Media Server logs covering the recordings - when the recording finishes and gets post processed and added to the library. Might need to also see the Plex Media Server database and EPG database
The S2 episodes in my previous post were recorded last Saturday. I had matched existing episodes with the 1985 show.
I created a new library. The post you referenced isn’t clear about any specific settings so I left the TheTVDB selected in advanced. I moved the files over for a few shows that I’ve recorded using the DVR. I pointed the recording schedule to the new library.
They didn’t have any metadata. Should I match the existing files?
EPG metadata would be preserved if not matched to thetvdb. With a new library dedicated to just the recordings and no previously tvdb matched episodes should result in keeping the EPG metadata
Checking channel 6.3 airings - all appear to be 1987 episodes and the show itself does have 1985 as the year
If you do get 2016 as a year, please let me know which airing and would be useful to capture server logs covering the time of the recording completing and saving into the library
