Thanks for the information, Dave. I see Plex for Android 8.15.2 has the fix for the 10 items issue and is on staged rollout. I look forward to getting this update.
Thanks for engaging with the community Dave, I want to have the Recently Added Hub and to use it more, I really like the new home page and how you maintain it is a big improvement having one Recently Added per library is great. I just would just like to be able to set it to show Unwatched items items only as I have to scroll past to many watched episodes too find something. That might just be me of course but that would be my feedback on the latest release
Yeah, Iām not sure that hub will change, but we might have something soon that will be able to help you out⦠
Itās not just you.
I would like to see unwatched only in any row. I canāt think of a reason to push viewed media to the forefront.
For years, my wife and I, didnāt use Home at all, just skipped over it to the library we wanted to use. I finally convince my wife to start frequently watched shows from Home, then Plex completely changed the way Home worked.
Changing a familiar UI is something that turns people off quickly. Of course my wife, and other users, assumes I have changed it.
Iāll test this new feature. But you need to separate the Movies and On Deck. We have a couple of thousand movies and several hundred TV shows from the media we have bought since 1996. My wife might start a couple of dozen movies over the week and it would push the TVs we are watching further off. We have a couple of dozen shows we go back and forth on. We had our On Desk remember two years.
This needs to be addressed, and fast. My wife is upset that she cannot find her shows she was watching, much less, the episode she was on. Iām also not happy at this at all.
Plex did not fix anything. They made something worse. I understand that some people might like the change, but its not as if the old set up pissed them off. While this new change is compete cluster for most of us.
Thatās āUser Logicā (I am one and it makes sense to me).
āDeveloper Logicā is very different - as we all are painfully aware.
Is this a little weird to start a couple dozen movies, not finish them, and then still want to finish them later on?
If you donāt plan to finish them, doesnāt marking them as played or unplayed remove them from the continue/on deck hub?
There is also a Remove from Continue Watching option now too
Perfect, now automate that to remove watched media.

Dāoh itās Recently Added that could use the Show Unwatched Only option.
This is a bit confusing for me too. How do watched programs appear on the CW screenI ? donāt have that issue.
If they change the default number of episodes to display, or make it a setting, from the paltry 6, I will be happy. For now, we are having to do extra searching for the programs that have dropped off the CW section. We regularly watch 10-20 series at once and so a new episode that is recorded today weāll never see. My wife told me that 3 of her favourite programs had failed to record, but they just hadnāt appeared on the CW.
While the item will have been watched previously, itās currently in progress. So been watched before, start a rewatch, leave halfway through. We recognise it was partially played, and so place it in Continue Watching.
It definitely shouldnāt be six, Iām very confused by that, it should be a minimum of 20
Itās not CW itās Recently Added that could use the option.
We should hopefully have something to help you with that use case soon
OK, thatās a bit weird (maybe, there has been an update) on Android phone app and Shield TV it is now 10. On the Web client and Windows it is indeed 20 - 20 is enough for sure.
Maybe the android app is getting an update soon?
On 8.15, it was set at 10 due to an oversight, but with 8.15.2 or newer, it should be a minimum of 20 (or whatever PMS happens to send).
Is there any plans to make this even larger, or better yet, customizable?
It might also be nice if we could sort the OD/CW hub in reverse order with the oldest watched series at the front of the line. Like a quick toggle button right above the hub.
Newest first works best when you clear out the entire series each week and expect to get another episode. It starts to break down if you have half a dozen old shows with 100+ episodes each in the queue.
For example, after we watch MacGyver 1985 it puts the next available episode at the front. We virtually never want to binge watch MacGyver so we have to scroll right for the next show. If you have half a dozen of these filler shows then you are often having to scroll far right to get to the latest newly recorded show.
Iād also like that feature of oldest at the left.
I know Iām an outlier on this, but Iād even like an option to not even show the next episode for 24 hours as we almost never watch 2 episodes back to back⦠We donāt binge unless it a particularly good end of season couple of episodes
