On Deck, Continue Watching & Recently Added

Hi @DaveBinM, ok with clicking from the actual hub, however can’t create smart playlists from it anymore. Previously we could create on them from ondeck as a means of auto continuing watching episodes.

How were you previously creating a smart playlist from the hub?

Well, it’s not that easy to find those needles of information in this 923 posts haystack…

Scrolling through and reading large parts of this thread, I feel sad that it seem like feedback from power users/long time users is being met with responses that “their use case isn’t the majority”. Have the Plex team forgotten that these power users probably are those who have preached the glory of Plex the most, to all their friends and family? Forgotten that these power users have contributed massively in the forums over the years, helping the Plex family grow?

Changing core features like this, without the ability to revert or choose what to display yourself is foolish in my opinion.

On the other hand, controlling the libraries from the server side instead of the client side I personally like, so credit where credit is due.

After clicking on CW in the hub, use the menu on the right as below. Now on clicking the menu, nothing happens…

Hmmm, I will ask about this internally

Hmmm, it seems that a change in PMS changed what kind of data is returned for hubs, and in forthcoming versions of Plex Web, it won’t be possible to do that, I’m afraid

That’s unfortunate. I fail to understand how this could be tricky, if you folks have a api or feed you use to currently build the CW on the home hub then it should be easy to reference a page with the same constructed content.

Anyhow, I’m sure you folks know best. We’ll just use the one from within the library when we need to see a full list of my OD/CW content for TV.

1.22.3 is now the public release of PMS, if you wish to update now.

Does it fix the bug where shows in “Continue Watching” will disappear if there’s more than 6 shows?

After the update I woke up to find “Recently Released Episodes” and “Recently Added In X” above “Continue Watching” with no way of moving it back to the top.

“Recently Played Episodes” and “Rediscover” do go below “Continue Watching” however, I haven’t tried any of the others.

Yes, it does

How many people participated in the thread complaining about CW/OD being separate?

In the previous thread I linked to? That wasn’t all complaints, so much as us soliciting feedback, but 29 people (including crossover with here).

Not 35, as I have instructed.
20 seems to be what Plex has decided is enough.

And which version of the web app is that? Have you restarted both your server and the client?

Have you tried other clients yet?

Webapp: 4.54.5 <—shows 20
Webapp: 4.56.3 <—shows 26

Neither of which are 35.

Are you sure you have 35 within the 52 week window?

As sure as a Human Being can be - considering I set those controls myself - my eyeballs are seeing the number 35, but all I get even from the Hosted app is 26.

… and everything falls in the 52 week limit - 'cause about January of 2021 I removed all but 20 from any list 'cause I couldn’t see them.

Not sure what it’s gonna take - but this isn’t working the way it supposed to be working. <---- and my promise to my Friends and Family that things would be different - turn out to be lies - and they’re as unhappy as I am.

Would you mind checking the CW from within your libraries itself (not home hub). That list will give you a total (per library) and you can add them up to see if it matches what the hub CW is showing.

If you removed all but 20, then that would leave… 20? I am personally seeing 31 show up in mine, and others have also reported that the setting is now working correctly :man_shrugging:
