On Deck, Continue Watching & Recently Added

Also worth noting that with a restart of PMS and web, you will now have the ability to recombine Recently Added Hubs as of now

I may not have enough in a single library - I have two libraries as I’m testing the new agents with one of them and I removed a whole bunch of On Deck/Continue Watching in January - when it became clear is was going to be a while

It’s not working as advertised today when it was promised.

I’m not willing, at this time, to add a bunch more to On Deck and Continue watching to prove it further, but my Family and Friends are NOT going to check the Recommended Tab to see all of those 35 that we (Family and Friends) agreed upon was the right number for us.

Plex is going to let me pick the number - or they’re not
 which is it?

I watched the server restart itself not 20 minutes ago when it updated, but if that restart wasn’t good enough - I’ll do it again right now
 stand by.

Restarted:

26 is the best Plex can do with that 35 I have set.

In relation to the original post here, I would recommend users have a look at the most recent release of Plex Web, and the update supported article here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/manage-recommendations/

Given others are able to get more than that, there must be something excluding the items you see. Do you see more than that if you extend the date out beyond the weeks you’ve specified?

Glad it’s an option and not a reversal - I prefer the separated RA hubs for my library management setup.

Evidently I’m one of the few folks in this thread where all these changes are beneficial and welcomed.

Edit: @JuiceWSA
Might be worth breaking into a new thread to troubleshoot since not everyone is experiencing the same issue? A few other folks have done that since this thread is pretty cluttered so a lot of the usual helpers aren’t in it anymore and then if it’s a bug and not an individual issue can come back to this thread?

I add an item - an item falls off after 26.
I’m not going to waste any more time here on it today - I have other things to do.

It’ll either work, or it won’t.
Right now it’s not. At least for me.

I did get RA together - guess I should be happy, but as soon as the New Agent goes live - I’ll be back down to 1 library anyway.

The new agent is already live

TV Show New Agent - BETA:

BETA isn’t Live.

So, this “we manage your home page you” is
 garbage.

Of course it is.

Plex clearly doesn’t know what we want (again: Your methodology for figuring out what users want is so short sighted as to not see beyond the tip of your nose) but
I had a home page that was carefully curated to show me what I want.

And nothing more.

Now?

“There’s Something About Mary Jane”. Sorry, don’t want stoner humor. Cannot remove this.

“Action Sheroes”. Not interested. Cannot remove this, either.

Etc. Stupid junk, cluttering up my once-beautiful home screen, because some coders think they know what their customers want.

Foolish and stupid, Plex. Foolish and stupid. Forcefeeding junk down my home screen’s gullet. You know nothing about what we want, your recommendations are trash.

All this has ruined the UX. I’m a big boy, I can manage my own home screen far better than you can. Trust me.

It is no longer beta. That is an older post that still lists it as beta. It is now the default agent for new libraries

Please post something constructive, and stop being combative, if you do not wish to see things from Plex’s VOD content, either unpin the source, or disable it at the account level. Otherwise, I’d suggest having a look at the support article I linked to previously.

No, it is not - I Have no way to ‘migrate’ 12,700+ episodes to the new agent:

When I see that for TV Shows - it’ll be ready - and ready or not - that’s when I’ll consider it ready
as will most other users I would imagine.

Are you maybe mixing up Movie and TV for the agent? I’m pretty sure the TV agent is still beta because that thread is still full of open issues being worked out.

Sorry I was being a bit of a jerk. My point was there was no thread of people asking for it to be combined yet there is a rather large one saying they do not want the universal continue watching. Even in the thread you mentioned it is pretty even with people that liked it and didn’t. We like options. As it is, I have to just remove all my in progress movies from my watch list. Potential easy options for plex would be to allow me to exclude movies from CW, or I would even take disabling the home screen completely at this point. Let me start right up on my last opened library. Seems as thought making CW merged/unmerged an option is too much work.

It is the default for new libraries. For existing libraries, select the Upgrade Matching option (visible in your screenshot), and then refresh all metadata.

That doesn’t exist for TV Show Libraries:

because it’s not ready - as it’s still in BETA.

That’s a movie library in that screenshot. Sure TV vs Movie agent isn’t getting mixed up here?

@JuiceWSA I think posted the movie options to show what IS available but is looking for the same thing on TV Library options which doesn’t have those options.

Yes, I’m sure :stuck_out_tongue:

(Yes, the preview says 1.23 from a previous version of the article, clicking through will reveal 1.22.3)

This is probably suited to discussion here: [BETA] New Plex TV Series Scanner

It’s no longer beta from 1.22.3.

In the next PMS update it comes with a new bundled web version which will show the “Upgrade matching” option. For now you can just change the agent manually if you want to upgrade.
