I’ve googled and searched the forums. Aside from this post (On Deck for managed users) I can’t seem to find anything pointing me in the right direction.
I’ve set up a restricted profile for my son (Younger Kids) and started using it to watch some of his shows but every time I go into his profile I have to go through the library to find the next episode because On Deck is missing. I can’t find a setting anywhere to enable it. On Deck is enabled and working for my master account.
Maybe you removed the content hub “on deck” from your sons home screen. If you reset the customisation made on your home screen the on deck content hub should reappear.
Thanks for the suggestion but that hasn’t made a difference. There isn’t even an On Deck on the individual library “Recommended” pages. When I try to manually manage the home screen,
Digging a little deeper, it seems that because I don’t want to see the “Kid’s TV Shows” on my home screen, I’ve set the visibility to “Exclude from home screen” in the Advanced library settings. This also disables it for managed users which means it won’t show up for my son. Guess I need to revisit this.
You can separate out the younger kids content to a different folder and make it stand alone. This way you can remove it from your home screen and your kids, or whoever, can enable it.
It is currently its own “stand alone” library. If you don’t want it in the main account’s home screen by setting the visibility to “Exclude from home screen”, then it won’t show up on the managed user’s (kid’s account) home screen either.
