@Zorg_Jean-Baptiste_Emanuel Follow these steps and somebody can take a look.
Received and understood. Standby to standby until I can get to this.
The subtitle issue is still present on 1.18.0.1846. I have gone through and replicated the issue to the best of my ability.
Not sure if it helps, but here are some screenshots of what is happening:
Hi all, fwiw I’m having a similar issue. Never had cause to use the subtitle search functionality before this weekend but was somewhat frustrated to find it not working on my 1.18.0.1944 servers (a QNAP and a Synology). No matter what movie I search for or what language I always get “No results” returned.
I gave up trying to wait for a fix or fix it myself. Searching for subtitles still doesn’t work, but here is the workaround that I used:
https://www.howtogeek.com/284125/how-to-automatically-download-subtitles-with-plex-media-server/
Like I said, you can’t manually search for subtitles like I am showing in my screenshots above, but it seems like subtitles are being downloaded when I refresh metadata after moving the Opensubtitles.org agent to the top in both the Movies & TV sections respectively.
It seems also that on-demand subtitle search shows less subtitles than on the opensubtitles.org page and it shows wrong subtitles also.
Is the text-box on the subtitle download popup supposed to be for opensubtitles manual search? I type in subtitle text-box “spider-man far from home” and it finds me some right named subtitles (on opensubtitles.org it finds more) and for some reason it shows subtitles for fast and furious hobbs and shaw and for avengers endgame.
I wish I had an answer for you, unfortunately the last time I checked, I am unable to use the subtitle search function still.
Update: 11-DEC19 - Still no such luck in getting the subtitle to search. According to the Plex online manual, this is a Plex Pass feature as is not tied to the OpenSubtitles search agent that you can configure when managing a library in your settings panel.
Well problem solved.
Don’t know why I missed this earlier. I guess because there is a second set of “hidden” subtitle options under your account settings.
The fact that there are two different locations to setup your subtitles is laaaaame.
Here is how my settings look (and how to fix this issue):
I previously had the Forced Subtitle Searches option set to “Only Show Forced Subtitles”. If that’s what you have set, then you will not see any subtitles in your searches.
My wish would be that there are more ways to obtain only forced subtitles for films like The Red Violin or Sicario or (insert film title).
Hope this helps you or someone you know!
Happy Holidays!
