Hi, this is an odd one. One particular tv show we noticed, have 16 seasons. We were watching the 11th season and this was in our continue watching.
Today when clicking it, it jumped to season 12. When looking at the show in plex, then looking at seasons, season 11 seems to just be gone - some episodes from season 10 apparently as well.
I ssh’ed in and checked the permissions versus another season that is in there, and they look identical.
I checked the folder where they are and season 11 and files are definitely still there, all the files, I tried making an update to them to update the file timestamp thinking Plex would re-add it, but after a rescan of the library it still is not there.
Any suggestions where to look as to why Plex removed this one season from my library and will not add it back?
Thank you.
well this seems to be resolved. so i have a bunch of media in itunes and plex has that as a library. it was fine up until yesterday, just this one season and a few episodes of another season, went missing in itunes. itunes likes to name media a certain way, but i sent and added "S11E## - " onto the front of each episode and then they magically showed up, same with the S10 ones that were missing. was just odd as all seasons 1-9 do not have this prefix, they have the proper season/episode within the itunes record, and previously this worked. Just stopped one day. but seems to be back now, and my continue watching has updated back to the episode we were on. So seems to be resolved, just don’t have an explanation why they disappeared one day. Weird.
yeah most of my stuff i have episodes listed typically as “S01E01 - name”, “S10E10 - name” for example. this particular show the first 11 seasons the file names were just the names of the episodes, and were fine up until yesterday when 1 season and part of another just disappeared for some reason. but when i renamed them to have the above names, all seemed good. so it’s a bit odd. thanks.
