One Series in one Folder

Hello forum,

I have a problem which I cannot resolve:

I made a Mediathek for the German crime TV-series “Tatort” which runs since 1970 and has a lot of different teams of detectives. I’ve made a different folder for each team and would like Plex to sort it in this matter. Since there are over 1200 episodes so far, this makes to find a specific episode so much easier. This works fine unless you add another episode to an existing folder. Then Plex starts a new series (with a wrong assignment). Renaming and canceling the wrong assignment doesn’t work. Then I got two Series with exact the same name. I want the new episode to be in the existing Series.

Has anyone of you struggled with a comparable problem and has a solution.

I suggest you keep the files organized as one show. You can then assign the respective episodes to collections per city / team.

Plex won’t handle separation on folder level.
