Only able to play 720p

Hi,

Woke up this morning and Plex will only play 720p, never had this before. When I try to change to original or 4K or anything else it just turns it back to 720p

I’m using the app on Apple TV 4K

Any ideas?

Sounds like indirect connection to your PMS?

Thanks for the help. Any ideas how I change that? It was fine last night.

Having the same problem. I try to put it on “Play original quality” and it won’t stick
and jumps to 720p also. This causes blurriness, buffering and long pauses CONSTANTLY.
Seems like this is something thats going on internally with Plex, hope they can
resolve it soon.

Hi, a real basic solicitor. But I turned it off and on again. I’d tried uninstalling the app etc But in the end I took it off the Apple TV and then restarted my computer and unplugged the Apple TV itself. Left it 5 mins, plugged it all back in, rebooted my Mac and reinstalled the app on the Apple TV Hey Presto! All working normally again.

Having same issue. None of my other devices have this issue.

if the device is on an indirect connection it is limited to 720p 2mbps. while playing check the Now Playing info in the dashboard
