I have a question I recently set up a new plex server using unraid previously I was using the windows based server and also the one that came baked in to my R 9000 router I love the set up on unraid I want to continue using it. What I have found is even with port forwarding set up I continually get indirect connection which is limiting my quality obviously. I have been able to log in to the plex server remotely using the standard port number. At this point it appears port forwarding is working but for some reason plex is not any opinions or experiences would greatly help. Everything that I found on the forms is related to indirect connection locally not in direct connection remotely I thank you for your help guys.
FYI Guys figured it out just in case anyone has this issue in the future. What I had done was I installed Plex Via the Docker not the Community Plugin Feature. When you install Plex from the docker it installs an older version. When I installed the version from the application store it installs the newest one. It also enables Hardware Transcoding. So woot.
