Seems about a week or so ago, content plays perfectly on on my Plex for Mac client that the PMS resides on, but all of my LAN content is not direct playing content and only playing back Indirectly over LAN, WiFi, and LTE. Capping movies out at 2Mbps and will not allow direct play as it says, “Video quality limited: a direct connection to the server is not available”. I confirmed that all devices on my LAN are on the same Subnet (255.255.255.0) and the same router (192.168.1.1). Rebooted routers, checked for double NAT, reinstalled Plex Media Server from scratch, still can’t figure it out. If I turn off Setting>Network>Enable Relay or Disable Remote Access, no devices other that the Plex for Mac app (running where my PMS resides) work.
I’m at a loss. Working great for years. Other than recently upgrading to Catalina and updating PMS and Apple TV/iPhone apps, haven’t changed anything. Any thoughts would be much appreciated and thank you in advance!
