Hi all,
I’ve just picked up an Nvidia Shield Pro to use as my Plex server - was previously using an old PC.
My issue is, when I mount a network shared Windows 10 PC on the Shield, only two of many shared drives on that PC appear for selection. I have a number of WD MyBook external hard drives hooked up to a PC with various media on them I wish to add to my Plex media server and share each one with exactly the same settings but different share names, of course.
I’ve never seen this issue before when accessing these shared drives from Kodi or other PCs/Macs.
Has anyone else seen this problem using an Nvidia Shield Pro?
Thanks,
SFK
As a side note I have always port forwarded my
PMS in my router, that seems to help with alot of neworking issues. There are some good tutorials in the help section on how to do this. I Have been a “Cord Cutter” for the last 6 years and have always used PMS on a home built HTPC running windows 7 just last month I switched to an Nvida Shield Pro as my main PMS. all of my libraries Are housed on a seperate QNAP TS 231+ NAS make sure all your network drives are mapped in the windows environment as well as full share access for all folders and sub folders
This should allow the PMS to see your network drives .After you map The drives restart your computer and shield, Then from a web browser logon to your server and goto add a library folder. Selet type, add folder , browse media folders , the mapped drives should now be visable .
