OpenCL support for HW transcode on ix-9xxx processor on Ubuntu 20.04

Server Version#: 1.24.3.5033-757
Player Version#: n/a

The other night I updated my Plex server through CLI over Putty, and I was notified that I needed to download 4 or 5 different things for HW transcoding. I didn’t have time to go through it at the time, and foolishly didn’t take a screenshot. Is there an KB article or something that gives me the list I need to get. And is this something I can do through CLI easily enough, or is it better to use GNOME?

This is very simple to recapture.

  1. Stop Plex
  2. remove (but don’t purge) Plex
  3. Install again. The installer prints the names of the packages needed for your system.

This is all easily done at the shell level. Graphical (GNOME) is actually more difficult unless you’re using a terminal window.

Thanks much.
