I have to set an audio delay of 150 ms for the video and audio to sync up properly. However, when I set a global audio delay in the Preferences section, this setting seems to be ignored when I actually play content, so I have to repeat the audio delay setting whenever I start playback. Is there any reason why this global preference would be ignored?
Has anyone figured out this particular issue? I have to manually correct audio for every file at the moment and it’s driving me bananas.
@Bats_Everywhere I still have some general and somewhat unpredictable problems with audio sync, but it’s on a level where I’m the only one in the house that’s bothered by it, so I haven’t pursued it further.
It’s been a while since I posted about my problem, and I can’t remember exactly what I did that ended up 99% fixing it. I seem to recall setting the correct audio offset while playing a movie, and then clicking a “save this offset for all future videos” button – or something similar to that.

Thanks! That setting seems to have done the trick.
This little piece of hardware is working great except the audio delay (-300ms) to get the video and audio synced. Except this little issue, it’s really great to have the ability to direct play h265 videos.
Question - if I run OpenPHT on an Odroid connected to a 1080p TV through a 1080p receiver, and I play a 2160p file, will either OpenPHT or the Odroid itself downscale the video to 1080p without the server having to transcode?

has anyone ever tried copying an image from an SD card and then writing that image to an eMMC card. Does it boot?
Thanks
It should, provided it’s an oDroid image of OPHT and the eMMC is the same size or larger. But you’d lose any slace difference in the cards. On the first boot, the squashFS image is expanded to fill the card available space. This doesn’t run again so it wouldn’t automatically fill your eMMC chip after migrating the image. So you’d want to consider that.

It sure will. You can direct play the 2160p file and the client will scale it down for you without impact to the server.

Just be careful about color space differences. With 2160p, there is a good/great chance you’re looking at BT.2020 color as opposed to BT.709. The Odroid can’t handle HDR color (BT.2020), so you’d see very washed out colors…

Ugh. Would the same apply to the Wetek Hub since it has the same chip? Any chance firmware or software updates could fix that, or is it a non-starter?
How do I access the Logs of OpenPHT on Odroid C2?
Sadly the Option: System Settings -> System -> “Submit Log: Pastebin system logs and get short URL” doesn’t work. (Error: Failed to paste log files, try again).
I already activated under: Preferences -> Change Preferences For System -> Advanced -> Enable debug logging.
When I’m connected via ssh on the Odroid C2 and write “ls” I only get to see some Folders (backup, music, screenshots, videos, lost+found, pictures & tvshows).
Just wondered if anyone else has an issue when playing back TV shows when they don’t start at the beginning seems to range at what point they start usually 30sec - 1min into the show. Only happens on odroid playback on other devices ipad, chrome all seem to be fine.

Same, I’ve just gotten used to hitting the back skip first thing.
It’s not dead but in a coma, long-term prognosis uncertain. I just tried ordering an ODroid C2. It’s great hardware but once I installed the OpenPHT RaspPlex variant, I ran into the dreaded time zone bug which took months to fix on Plex Media Player embedded. I didn’t feel like screwing with config files so I returned it. I have PMPe running on a Asus Chromebox and it works for me well enough.
If only PMPe was available for the ODroid C2 and the hardware supported HDR…

I’m having issues with my wifi disconnecting when idle on my odroid c2. I’m using the ODROID WIFI MODULE 5 as my wifi adapter. Anyone having this problem and know how to fix it? I’ve tried a clean install and still the same issue occurs. Running on a EMMC module on OpenPHT-Embedded-1.8.0.148-573b6d73-Odroid_C2.aarch64.img
I am also seeing this problem with the same hardware combination. Does anyone know why the WiFi disconnects (and more importantly why it does not reconnect without having to reboot openpht)?
I got a problem with the Odroid C2 and the OpenPHT System. I can start and shut down the system but sometimes when I start it again all my settings are lost. So I have to login to my plex account again, set the language, set all audio setting…
Is there anything I can do except for running the Odroid C2 nonstop? I’m using a eMMC Module.
And then there is another problem regarding my covers. If I go to the overview section where I can browse all my movies, less than half of my movies shows covers and when I choose on movie and navigate to the detail view of this specific movie there is no cover showed even when there is on in the overview section.
Im using the OpenPHT default skin.
All my other clients show the covers of each movie.
Does anyone have an idea what I can do about this?
