i removed plex package and installed older version but still
opensubtitles agent not working
they cant search any subtitle.

what is going on ?

opensubtitles.org is having issues, I can’t get pass the captcha since yesterday and this coincides with the time searching subtitles stopped working on my Plex app…they should change the agent to opensubtitles.com but I couldn’t find a way to do that…

Hi, thanks for sharing with everyone. Is there an expected timeline to get this change released? I would definitely take any temporary patch shared soon, since some family members really need this feature due to hearing issues.

I don’t have an ETA for you at this time.

I know it’s actively being updated for their new API.

While it’s a pain, if really in a pinch, you can

  1. Enable “Local Media Assets”
  2. Download and add subtitles yourself (which are then permanent) with the titles.
  3. “Scan Files” for that library section.

Adding is easy:

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately my QNAP NAS doesn’t allow this kind of access. On the other hand, having to manually download is something my family member cannot self serve that easily.

I have just received a notification from opensubtitles confirming the discontinuation of the old API until end of the year. Is it possible to confirm if the move to the new API is really in development?
