Optimize entire movie library into a different directory?

Server Version#: plexmediaserver_1.23.2.4625
Player Version#: newest

When in my movies folder, I used to be able to click on the three dots on the far right and click “Optimize” to optimize my entire movie collection into a different folder, now when I do that.. the only option is “In folders with original items”. HOWEVER, if I select all 391 movies in the list view, then try it.. it allows me to select a different directory. Is this broken or did something change?

Here’s a screenshot of my options when I select the ENTIRE movie library.

and here’s a screenshot of when I select ALL the same movies, but individually..

This is very inconvenient because if you select the entire library, then movies dropped in after the initial conversion will go in the queue and be converted, but if you select each movie individually, then there’s no monitoring of the library as a whole for future movies.

To make it even worse, there is no “select all” option in the table view.

Any advice?

… and considering an ‘optimized file’ is still melded at the hip to it’s original - as in, one can’t exist without the other (which is traveling a different road than User Logic is riding on) - I suggest Handbrake.

At least with one of those ‘Optimizations’ you can do what you want to with it.

Was anyone able to figure this out?

I downgraded plex to version 1.22 and can confirm it is working. Hope this helps others.
