"Originally Available" date now being auto-filled with current date?

I have a large collection (~2,000) of videos from various sources and I curate them in the Plex interface to have a more “human” naming convention. Lately, I’ve noticed the “Originally Available” date on many of these show the current (or recent) date.

I don’t know this to be the case, but it appears this is happening on files where no date value is present. Is this a new feature? I do not wish this to be the case, so is there a toggle I can use to turn off this feature?
