OTA Favorite Channels states this channel is not available

Your device (make and model): Google Pixel 8A

The device OS (and OS version): Android 15

Plex app version: 202512.0 (966828368)

Plex Server Version: 1.41.6.9685 on Mac OS

What you were doing when the issue happened: While Looking at my favorite over the air channels it states the channel is no longer available. When I look at the guide the channel is there.

Whether it’s reproducible: It happens every time. Tried rebooting phone and reinstalling the app.

Remove and recreate favorites.

Not a solution.

If you recreate on the app, the schedule data won’t appear on the web / server or AppleTV app.

And vice versa.

There doesn’t seem to be a magic combo to view channel favorites on both the new app and legacy app / web.

This is happening to me as well on an iPhone 13 Pro Max (and my iPad Pro 11-inch 3rd Gen).

Live TV is EXTREMELY SLOW in general with the “new” Plex app by the way.

[EDIT: what I say below I think is what @cwoody222 was trying to say just above my post as well… re-reading it I think we are saying the same thing. BUT WE STILL NEED HELP PLEASE!]

Also, it seems that if I unfavorite a channel from my server in the iOS app, and then re-add that channel as a favorite in the iOS app > then that channel does NOT work in favorites on the server (but will work on the iPhone/iPad).

For example: if I remove NBC from favorites on the iPhone, re-add NBC on the iPhone - it works on iPhone and iPad but NOT on the server. If I remove NBC from the server, re-add NBC on the server it works in favorites on the server but NOT in favorites on iPhone/iPad (says “This channel is no longer available” like image above when in iOS).

Are these known issues? Being worked on and/or fixed soon???

Live TV with favorites is basically useless on iOS devices. I have hundreds of cable and antenna TV channels so I use the favorites list to show only the 20 or so channels I actually watch (in an order of my preference)!

Also, how in the f#$% do you re-order favorite channels now on the iPhone app???

Same issue here. No favorites, with the “channel no longer available” error. Also the ability to record from android app is gone, and channels loading extremely slowly. Personally I think they have built in more tracking and and it doesn’t like my VPN that messes with tracking, but just AWAG. Just wish they would do their trial roll outs to different classes of users to catch this stuff before general roll out.

If this is still a problem I’m not clear why this was marked as solved. Probably why it was skipped over. Sometimes versions of “turn it off and back on” are indeed all there is to things, but if reoccurs consistently I would like to make report about it.

So sorry this got overlooked. If someone can provide their android logs (from current version of app) . I do see some seemingly similar reports that may cover this but I am going to write a new one.

It’s still happening for me on iOS as well. If I favorite on iOS, it won’t work on AppleTV/Web, if I favorite on AppleTV/Web, it won’t work on iOS. I just tested by removing all my favorites and confirming it’s gone from all devices. Then added one favorite via web and checked on iOS.

This is in addition to the guide issue where it blank daily after 7pm central time in US.

OK can you please provide your iOS logs after loading Live TV in app and getting that screen. Your server logs would probably be good to have too.

Here’s the log from iOS. The sever log zip is too big so I can’t attach it.…let me know if I can send another way
log-2025-05-15T20_23_03.502Z.zip (578.8 KB)

put it on Google Drive or similar and give me a link ( make sure it is set to anyone with link can open)

feel free to message me the link

Just pm’ed you the link to them…

Well I marked it solved because removing favorites and readding them fixed my issue.

@Burden That is fine. Sorry, I didn’t mean for it to come off as scolding you, I should have worded it differently.
