Hello. I have noticed that the new Will & Grace Season 9 shows are now being lumped in with the original 1999 show being re-aired. When I setup the recording it was it’s own show in the guide but with this guide change it is showing the new episodes as season one instead of season 9 in the program guide and this is messing with my 1999 season one files.
I used the Guide Report Form to report this issue.
I am seeing the same thing. I am seeing that the episode information (coming from my OTA) treats is as a new series - Will & Grace (2017) Season 1 Episode 1 - rather than continuation of the original series - "Will & Grace (1998) Season 9 Episode 1. I had to manually rename the episode and add it to my Will & Grace (1998) original series under Season 09.
I have the same issue, tried the following and still cannot get Plex to put it on the schedule
- Refresh Guide data
- Set Season to record “New and Repeat Airings”
- Select individual Episode from the guide and choose to record them
Neither work and I have no other recordings scheduled for Thursday night. I had to buy it on iTunes and deal with getting it a day late because of this.
So… Will and Grace EPG is again back as the 1998 show season 1 and its very frustrating… After I submitted the EPG error report it was fixed to be Will and Grace 2017 season 1 (just had to fix the match in plex from the 1998 show to the 2017 show by using The Movie Database NOT the TVdb list). I have my plex server recording 1998 Will and Grace as new episodes only AND I have it recording 2017 new episodes only so when the EPG messes up I still record it but have to go in and fix the file name to be 2017. I submitted another EPG error report but this is getting old now.

The current season according to NBC is Season 1.
NBC also list the original show which shows the different season 1 episodes.
For some reason a user on TheTVDB.com site started adding a season 9 to the original show.
