Hi. I am trying to set Will & Grace up to record. I find it in the channel guide and it shows 2 upcoming episodes. I hit record and set it up and it puts the three red dots on it. But, it does not show in scheduled recordings. When I go to the Recording Priority, it says there are No Upcoming Airings. I am wondering if the & in the show title is causing an issue, perhaps?
Or, perhaps there is something else wrong?
Logs are attached.
Thank you.
Do you have it set up to record new and repeat airings or just new episodes?
What are you basing your assumption that the current season is season 9? NBC shows the new remake of the Show as Will & Grace (2017) Season 1. They have a separate link to the original series.
Yes it will which is why TheTVDB needs to have it as Will & Grace (2017) Season 1. Even your own screenshot shows the Show as year 2017. Episodes are coming from guide data/NBC as Season 1 Episode 8 and 9 for next two airing. TheTVDB needs to change in my opinion. Or do they have the power to tell NBC they must change the naming of the show they are creating. Different thread, should have included your screenshot here.

That must be a sign. Will & Grace sucks.
There is no way to force it to record the episodes? Maybe change from new airings only to all episodes?
Update: nope, still won’t record at all.
Do you have the ‘original’ seasons in a Plex library? If so, you might move it out of Plex’s ‘view’ and see if the schedule adjusts. If it does, I’d leave it out of Plex’s view until the current season is complete.
I ALWAYS use “New and Repeat Airings”. That way if the EPG doesn’t correctly id an episode as new it still records. I’d rather have duplicates that I can delete later than miss something.
The problem with this show is the broadcaster is creating a new series starting with Season 1 and user may have a season 1 if they had the prior series. TheTVDB also refuses to have two different series since the show name is the same and the new series has the same original actors. So TheTVDB is showing the new series season 1 as season 9 of the old series.
