With the latest iOS update 2025.5.0 (859) on both an iPhone and iPad, when trying to watch personal movies / clips that have been put into a library scanned as Plex Personal Media, it will only show screenshots for the first 40 movies/clips when using folder view. The remainder are all blacked out and thus unable to be played. Uninstalling, reinstalling, refreshing content, waiting overnight, makes no difference. If using the “Filter by” setting of “Movies” this issue doesn’t present itself. It’s only when using the “Folders” structure.
FWIW after reinstalling older versions it appears this broke after v2025.1.0 (810)
That is if any dev ever reads or responds to anything in here or through the reporting with TestFlight.
