Other ways to name files for TV shows?

As stated, naming of plex tv show local posters should be “show.jpg”
Ok, got it!

But, I’m confused over the way it’s explained in the “manual”. I’m trying to find a way to be able to name my posters for TVshows so I can keep them in order in my backup, and be searchable.

Example:

This is how it’s explanied:

  • /TV Shows/ShowName/Custom_ShowPoster_Name.ext
    Where Custom_Poster_Name can be:
  • folder
  • poster
  • show

To me, “Custom_ShowPoster_Name” Vs “Custom_Poster_Name” is not the same phrase. What am I looking at here? Can I actually add some kind of tv title in the naming?

Like “Game Of thrones-show.jpg” ?

Probably a typo… that’s supposed to be the same text (Custom_ShowPoster_Name vs. Custom_Poster_Name).

Example:

TV Shows   <- the folder linked to your tv-show library
  Game of Thrones (2011)
    show.jpg
    show-2.jpg  <- e.g. if you have multiple local posters

Plex will not digest other combinations like {Show Name}-show.jpg.

Well ok then. No more fancy names on posters.
