Panasonic SmartTV Plex app stopped working

Bought this TV in July 2019, at first the Plex app worked just fine. Then somewhere in September 2019, it suddenly stopped working. (All other TV apps still work). When starting the Plex app, it briefly says: “Connecting”, and shows a spinning icon for 1-2 sec, then goes to a black screen. Returns to the Panasonic menu when pressing “exit”.

My (local) Plex Server works fine, I can access content from my server (and other shared servers) from my Windows systems (browser or app), and several android smart phones.

I have un-installed and re-installed the Plex app (on TV), same result.

Did something change recently?
