I hope you can help:
i was a free plex user before, having my „adult“ libraries set up for personal use.
For sharing with my kids (normal plex accounts) I created additional „kids“ libraries.
Everytime i want to share something, i had to go into admins plex web, go to file info, copy the folder path of the file, edit the kids-library and add the path there.
This is cumbersome and annoying.
Now i purchased plex pass for having plex home users and all that - but the situation is as bad as before.
I do not want to let plex decide based on some PG-ratings what should be shared with my kids, nor do i want to share my entire library.
I want to have control on my own.
What I like to achieve:
Go to any of my files, go to context menu, hit „share“ and select my kids users without messing with any library.
Is this possible and if yes, how?
I found this share-button in the context menu, and selected my kids user. In the app i could see „2 shared files“, but i was not able to see or open it in any way.
Now there is no share-menuitem at all, i have no idea where it went.
I created a managed user for testing, but it didnt eork either.
and i am desperate now.
Server version currently 1.19.2.2737 because if i upgrade on 19.3 my library becomes unreachable.
Edit: i tried to share no libraries, but add „kids“ as label and restrict the kids user to allow only labels „kids“. But the files never show up in any of the kids accounts.
Any ideas?
