I have the HDHOMERUN 3tuner which is also used by windows media center to watch TV. Plex DVR is intermittently recording only a few minutes of each show. I’ve read online that Plex expects to have dedicated control of the HDHOMERUN. Is this true and if so is there plans to correct this where Plex can use one of the available tuners? At this point the DVR is useless to me.
Plex, like EyeTV as well, doesn’t seem to play well with others right now. I’ve had to use LittleSnitch on my Plex Mac and also on my EyeTV Mac to isolate them tuner-wise. Tuner control does seem to be an issue that Plex has to work out.
Plex also seems to have a policy of not commenting on future roadmaps, timelines for fixes, etc. Sounds like you might want to wait for awhile before interrupting your present working config.

Main reason why I stopped using the PLEX DVR hope they soon address the HDHomerun device sharing.
