Pass needed to add HDHomerun?

I installed the Plex server in order to give it a try. I was able to scan my library, which is pretty nice.

However, I wanted to try to add Live TV as a test. But I noticed that I can not add my HDHomerun without a Plex Pass?

When I Google for it, it says I don’t need a pass to add a HDHomerun. However, when going to the LiveTV & DVR page, I can not add a tuner, and there is only a get Plex Pass button.

Do I need to a pass nowadays to add my tuner?

No. Plex Pass is only needed for recording. I would try app.plex.tv instead of the local one or vice versa.

So, I use the docker setup. How come I can no not add a DVB tuner then? When I go to Live TV & DVR in the menu, I only see this:

It being docker should not have anything to do with it.

Are you using the web app in app.plex.tv or the local web app via IP? There was a bug in an earlier version of web app but afaik that was fixed

A local web app via IP. The tuner is in the same IP range.

Try app.plex.tv.

What version of the local web app do you have

I have version 4.136.1 if I am correct.

Ah check. I see that app.plex.tv works. It does not seem to work with the ip in my local network.

I must say, I am really impressed. The tuner is found, channels are loaded and the EPG works too. Nice.
