I purchased the Plex pass because I was under the impression I would be able to use Plex as a DVR for my HDHOMERUN device. However, I don’t see any of my OTR channels listed when i click on “live tv” in the Plex app on my Android TV. There’s no instructions anywhere as to how to set this up.
Am I mistaken thinking I can use Plex with the HDhomerun tuner? Did I just waste $43 on the Plex pass?
Can someone please tell me how to do this?
P.S the forum software wouldnt let me ask the question when I created the thread, so I had to do it in a reply.
Have you setup a server for Plex?

I use a HDHomeRun Prime with cable, so my setup is not the same as yours.
Yes I do have a Plex server setup on one of my computers and it’s working well.

I tried that link, but my Plex doesn’t look anything like what they show in that article. (see screen capture) Also, when I click on “Your media” on the left panel, it keeps telling me to download the Plex media server, which I have already done several times.
Do you see the Plex icon down in the task tray area?
If you see it, the server might be using a different Plex account than you do in your web browser.
In which case the Plex client won’t find the server.
Please see You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry to rectify this.
Try clicking on the wrench in the upper right of the screen to get the server settings.
Method number 2 (copy and paste into the registry) worked. It seems this happened because I changed my username and password earlier.

I have the same exact issue where there is “Live TV” but not “Live TV & DVR”
I followed the link to reclaim my server (Method #1), turns out it was a different Plex account. So the reclaim did change back to the account that I have Plex Pass.
It still didn’t work. The web server is the same as before reclaim the account.
I have tried logged out and exit the server, cleared browsing history, and restarted the PC, logged back in to the server (typed email & pw). No change. Please help!
ok I got it. I tried Method 2 and worked.
I thought both method was doing the same thing just different ways of doing it.
If Method #1 didn’t work out for you try Method #2
