"Path is invalid" when adding movies and series

Hello,

I recently got on Plex and I have an issue. My son and I are both using the same Plex account and when he goes to school, he likes to watch a series that is on our server. He uses the mobile sync feature before going to school so that he can watch the series on the way back without using data.

But here is the issue, when we goes back home he tells me every time that he could not watch his series because there is a message saying “The path is invalid”. I think it is due to the fact that I keep adding movies to our server daily, but I don’t know how to solve this issue. Is there a setting to change or should I add the movies on the evening after he is back ? The later would be less favorable.

Thank you in advance,

Gerald Gergouil

Adding movies and shows shouldn’t affect the sync. I will need to see the full log from the app to see what that error is.

Hi,
Thank’s for your quick response. Here are the logs.

Plex Media Server Logs_2019-04-03_06-53-16.zip (5.12 MB)

That is the log from PMS. I need the log from the android device after trying to sync.

Hi, sorry.

What did you try to play and about what time?

Here is the answer from my son :

In this log, I downloaded the whole season 2 of Mr.Robot. It would do the same problem if I downloaded the season episode per episode. I wanted to watch ep4 but none of them would show up in the offline option.
Also, I am a bit confused about the what time part ( english isn’t my main language ). But in this case I have watched about 30min of the episode. Or I saw that it was unavailable at around 10:40am GMT+1. Hope this answers your questions.

Oh sorry. The log your son provided is the wrong one. I need the one from within the app. Settings - Help & Support - Debugging - Share debugging data. That will bring up the list of programs to use. Choose email which turns the log file into an attachment and email it to yourself, then grab that attachment and include here.

Edit - nevermind. You are using an iOS device. For some reason I thought it was Android and was expecting something different. We’re fine.

Mr Robot is a bit of a pest for the library scan because the episodes are named 3.0 or 3_0 on the files. This creates some difficulty picking them up. I fixed this by manually renaming the episode files to E1, E2, E3 etc.
