Pay-TV on Plex?

Hi,

The LiveTV & DVR functionality in Plex is quite interesting since my MCE coming closer to retirement. However, Free OTA is quite useless if you live in Sweden. Hence, I wonder if there is any support for a tuner with CI interface in Plex? Currently I’m using this tuner in my Windows MCE, which works perfectly. Would it work in Plex?
I would also be very interested to hear if it works with Nvidia SHIELD, or if any other tuner with CI interface works with it, since it seems to be a very nice option for my next media center.

  2. you did not specify that you did read them
  3. if it aint listed, it aint supported, but that does not mean it wouldn’t work

I am using an enigma2 based receiver with Pay-Tv here in Germany via xteve (and Plex).

So you might also need to use other software like tvheadend and the like and access that via Plex.

But, AFAIK neither xteve nor tvheadend can run on the Shield. So you might as well use something else as your server device.

I didn’t realise the Shield should be used as server, that obviously wouldn’t work.
