After changing my password, as requested because of the data breach, I am unable to see my pc media server. I can see my pc listed as a device on my router. If I try to run plex on the server (192.168.1.65:32400/web) I get the following message:
This application is at 192.168.1.65 and is not hosted by Plex. Continue only if you recognize this server and wish to grant access.
I’m not sure what that’s trying to tell me. If I say to continue, it logs me in, but I don’t see my libraries. If I click on “Your Media”, it brings up a page that tells me to “Add Your Media to Plex” and a button to “Get Plex Media Server”. But I already have the Plex Media Server app and I can see in Task Manager that it’s running. I’ve tried clicking the button and downloading the PMS app again, but that does change anything. My Media Server is still not seen.
If I go into my Plex account and ask to see “Authorized Devices”, my pc is not available to select. I’ve gone into the registry and removed the 4 account specific values, as several forum posts have suggested doing, but after reinstalling the PMS app, nothing changed.
I’ve tried everything that I’ve seen suggested in the Plex Forums and on YouTube, and nothing has fixed the problem. I’m at a loss as to what to try next. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
