Since changing my password, the server is not seeing my desktop. One blog entry said to remove the desktop entry in “allowed devices”. I did so. Now all I see is “your media” on the left, & when I click, it shows “Get Plex Media Server” in the middle. * I have downloaded this multiple times. Help?
Hello Otto. Are you suggesting changing register entries?
If you mean “Registry keys”, yes.
Alternatively, you can try to reclaim your server first by simply going to http://localhost:32400/web with your web browser (on the same machine where the server is installed.)
If that doesn’t work, it is the full procedure as noted in the link, I’m afraid.
Otto, thank you so much for this tip. (localhost) It allowed me to reclaim & everything is back to normal.
