Performance and music player controls issues on playstation

Player Version#: 5.93.2 / 3.00 (ps4 version) and 5.93.2 / 1.007.001 (ps5 version)

Firstly this issue of music controls that render the UI unusable is still present, both for ps4, ps4 pro and ps5. And just like described in the post, this issue essentially is playstation only. I have not experienced this on HTPC, Plexamp or android TV.

Edit: It seems that this issue also happens on LG webOS

Secondly, here are some other issues/ frustrations on ps4 only:

  • The User select screen takes 20 seconds to load the users on app boot
  • The Plex Home screen takes 30 seconds to load sometimes
  • Loading the music queue sometimes takes a 10-15 second. Could caching the queue, but without cover art and loading the cover art on queue opening be an option here?
