Hey there guys,
another user of mine has tremendous issues with another player of Plex.
Today I onboarded another friend who I could finally convince to try out Plex. She only has a PS4 as streaming device and it took me almost 2 years to convince her to try it out.
Today we created an account for her, invited her to my server etc., everything went well.
Until we installed the Plex app on her PS4.
The UI was so slow, it was impossible to navigate. Every click - opening a movie, show or only clicking on a library, didn’t matter - was ridiculously slow, taking 2+ minutes to finally execute the desired action. Playback was impossible too. After 5+ minutes of the loading circle, the video started, but then crashed with an error message that there was a playback error.
So the first experience of this dear friend is basically, that nothing works out of the box on my server and is basically unusable, which is pretty sad for me as an admin.
Any tips or help how we can make the Plex app snappy on her PS4?
