Explanation:
So for a while I have been playing some 1080p REMUX files, averaging at around 40Mbps from my smaller PC downstairs. After figuring out Chrome/Edge ruins my Dolby DTS passthrough, I figured I’d try the windows app again.
Video loaded just fine, up until 5 seconds later when it started buffering, it does this every other second and honestly it is impossible to watch.
Using the website (app.plex.tv), apart from being unable to direct play it and the audio getting converted to stereo, it works like a charm! No lag, no issues, no buffering whatsoever.
Honestly I am just wondering if any one else has had this experience, or has a way to make things work, I figured the 7.1 DTS on a 5.1 (dts supported) home cinema set could have broken it but AEC3 5.1 produced the same problems.
The CPU is a 12 core xeon, I have a holy amount of RAM left and the disk was unused beside obviously myself. Also running full Cat6 and the network has been optimized as far as I could take it. It has no reason not to work basically.
