Unclaim the Servers

  1. Sign out of the current (Plex Pass) account – preferably close/restart the browser
  2. Open the web app using the server’s local IP address → http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web
  3. Given you signed out in #1, Plex should ask you to sign in – do that using the credentials of your old Plex account
  4. Go to Settings > [Server Name] > General
  5. On this page, you should see a box stating “This server is claimed by” with your (old) account name and e-mail address – click the Remove button next to that section
  6. Repeat 2, 4 and 5 with your second Plex Media Server

Claim the Severs with the new account

  1. Sign out of the old (non-Plex Pass) account and restart the browser
  2. Repeat 2-4, using the credentials of the new Plex account
  3. On the General settings, you should now see an option to claim that server under the new account
  4. Repeat 8+9 with your second Plex Media Server

Alternative

There’s an alternative approach to reclaim a server on Syno. This will be different for the DSM 6 and DSM 7 installs! You can use this if you no longer have access to the old credentials or run into trouble “jumping back and forth” between the accounts.
