Can't Claim My Server after a Reinstall

Server Version#:1.18.15

I recently had someone hack my Plex account, I was notified of a new login in Brazil, and I am in the United States. When I changed my password, I selected the option to log out all devices and that’s where it all began. I’ve spent the morning trying to get my plex server back online. I’ve reinstalled several times, I’ve manually installed the latest available version from the Web.

On first login, it never asks for me to claim the server. And the server does not show up no matter how hard I try to find it. Please help, this is going to be a huge problem soon, when the wife realizes our library is down.

1st… that’s actually a pretty old PMS release (1.18.x date back at least 12 month).

Are you accessing that server through its local IP address in order to reclaim it?
http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web

See FAQ #15.

Also, as @tom80H mentions, that’s a very old version.

See Installation & Setup of Plex Media Server on Synology for details on manually updating to the current release.

I have tried this too. The latest release (1.22.3) did not change the situation. I never get prompted to put in a claim code.

Given this is Synology, I will presume DSM 6

It sounds like this is a ‘hard loss’ of the link between PMS, plex.tv , and your account.

Give this one a shot. It’s the next ‘stronger’ method.
