Plex Documentation → Your Media
→ Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files
Flintstones works because they are named & organized correctly:
/TV/The Flintstones/Season 6/The Flintstones S06E01.m4v
The Jetsons folder structure looks OK, but I did not see any episode names. Make sure the episodes are named appropriately.
For Looney Tunes, update your naming and organization to Plex requirements.
You may need to Plex Dance the show after renaming and reorganizing.
Current:
/TV/Looney Tunes (1930) - {thetvdb-72514}/Looney Tunes (1948) - {tvdb-72514}
/TV/Looney Tunes (1930) - {thetvdb-72514}/Looney Tunes (1956) - {tvdb-72514}
/TV/Looney Tunes (1930) - {thetvdb-72514}/Looney Tunes (1953) - {tvdb-72514}
Instead:
/TV <-- Folder added to TV library
../Looney Tunes (1930) {tvdb-72514} <-- Show_Name (year) {tvdb-xxxxx}
..../Season 1948 <-- "Season" in English; Four digits for number (matching TheTVDB)
....../Looney Tunes (1930) s1948e01 Gorilla My Dreams.ext <-- sXXXXeYY mandatory; ext=mkv/mp4/etc
Tools to assist with renaming:
- Filebot
- Tiny Media Manager (free version)
- Microsoft PowerToys Power Renamer - Windows only tool to help rename any file, not just media. Match a current pattern, replace with desired pattern.
