my phone or Ruku cant connect to my nas movies
only when I just my desktop computer (computer i use to transfer flies) it makes me double click on the share drive because i took the password of it.
so computer of plex doesnt work
computer on… the shared drive has an X on it. but when i click it and the files open
then everything works just find

Sounds like you are running Plex Media Server on your computer and not your NAS.
So it has to be nas media server?
The clients access the server where it is running. If you want your NAS to be the server, you need to install and configure Plex Media Server on the NAS itself. Do you have NAS that supports running Plex Media Server, if not, then it won’t be possible to access the files directly and you will need to use your computer as the server with the media saved onto your NAS.
So if i reset my nas will i lose all .ovies on the plex server?
I don’t know what you mean by reset. If you install PMS on your NAS you will need to set it all up again. We have instructions for moving a setup from one computer to another. https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/ You can use that as a guide and try moving your current setup to the NAS, but most NAS don’t give you access to the location where programs are installed without using SSH. You’ll also need to manually change file paths and preferences. This is not very easy to do.
Alternatively, after recreating your setup on the NAS you can copy over just the watched/played status. https://support.plex.tv/articles/201154527-move-viewstate-ratings-from-one-install-to-another/ May still require SSH depending on your NAS, but it’s less involved than moving over the entire setup.
